They're fun experiences, yet not many of us actually know the process and hard work that goes into creating the product of movies, music or games. Let's look at the lifeline of a game from idea to download.

You have an idea for a game. It's going to be the next Halo or Mario. It's not that easy. First a feasibility test needs to be done; it determines how realistic the idea is going to be. Part of the test will include market research to see if there's a need for this idea. Is it something new that the market will like? Does it follow an already established product (example making a platforming game in response to Mario like Sega did) if so how will it compete? Decide on what type of game you want, is it an online game, puzzle game, word game or arcade game. Finally the Wii. It is completely wireless and the size of a 90's lunch box. From the way Nintendo is trying to compete with Xbox and Playstation it is to be expected they will keep making more impressive systems with more impressive features. Look at the Ds it has the ability to play Nintendo 64 quality games in a very portable system. Great things to come!

The Realism of video Games

...ere are many video games using current events as a fantasy gaming world.

There are many theories as to the dearth of reality-based video games. Improved graphics, technology and game play make it easier to create the real world on the video game screen. It could be that developing a video game based on the battle in Afghanistan is easier to develop than starting a game from scratch with new characters, settings, storylines, etc. Perhaps it's a calculated effort to hone in on frustrated individuals who can't really join the fight: battle those terrorist creeps that you hate so much from the comfort of your own home. In the latter instance, at least, it can make for a quick way to make a quick dollar.
