The same mini-games from the Super Mario 64 DS game are also included but they can be played with other players, requiring only one copy of the game. These mini-games make better use of the touch controls but they aren't incredibly exciting.

The sounds are fantastic. It's like having an arcade in the palm of your hands. "Is that an arcade in your pocket or are you just happy to see me?" Mario has a voice in this game and repeats a few Italian-soaked clichs. Thankfully he avoids saying, "That's a spicy meat-a-ball-a."

And once I hit the dock, I began to teach yoga on the beaches of the British Virgin islands. With the crew members of over 50 yachts on the initial ocean passage, there were plenty of sailors ready to stretch out there bodies and feel the power of yoga under the intense sun and cloudless blue sky of the Caribbean. What a journey! And yoga has been a full passport to the adventure in my life.

While the loss of a loved one, and in my case my marriage partner, can and will leave one in a state of confusion, Yoga has opened the window to a new beginning. It works. In addition to the personal loss; I experienced a rearrangement of my life through tremendous damage to my home from three major hurricanes in the past two years. When I lost my office addition because of flooding from a broken water line as the result of a fallen tree, I turned the space outside into a meditation and butterfly garden and the space inside became a yoga studio. I use my studio as a place of meditation and personal practice. I have collected all my favorite yoga books and memorabilia from my retreats in that space. I know that when one door closes, another opens. I have survived great loss and received great rewardthe yin and yang of life.

Well it wasn't AT&T's west coast network, but the iPhone did manage to short circuit one, albeit much smaller, network today. The iPhone's Wi-Fi connection appears to be causing problems on the wireless network at Duke University in Durham, North Carolina.

The built-in 802.11b/g adapters on a number of phones occasionally flood certain parts of the University's wireless LAN with MAC address requests. This has lead to the temporary loss of signal from 12 to 30 wireless access points on different occasions.

The campus primary wlan provider, Cisco, is currently working with network administrators who have opened a help desk ticket with Apple. However, a specific cause has yet to be determined.

Because it is summer, a time in which the majority of full-time students are not enrolled in classes, the problem is not as severe as say during finals week of fall semester. However, when students return for classes in the fall, they are certain to bring more iPhones with them. And with more iPhones, come even more network requests flooding the campus system.

The iPhones appear to be flooding the University's access points with up to 18,000 address requests per second (nearly 10Mbps of bandwidth) and hording the campus airtime. When the access points can no longer handle the intense traffic, they proceed to shut down for 10-15 minutes with no means to communicate with Wi-Fi enabled devices. According to Kevin Miller, assistant director, communications infrastructure, with Dukes Office of Information Technology, there are currently 150 or so Apple iPhones regularly using Duke's Wi-Fi network.

The iPhone uses the Address Resolution protocol (ARP) to request the MAC address of the destination node, for which it already has the IP address. When it doesnt get an answer, the iPhone just keeps asking, leading to the aforementioned 18,000 requests per second.

So far, the communication with Apple has been one-way, according to Miller. After initially filing the problem ticket, Apple has told him the problem is being escalated but as of mid-afternoon Monday, nothing significant had been heard from Apple.

With this story in full rotation in the blogoshpere and national news publications, Apple would be wise to offer some real solutions to the problems, and fast. With an angry consumer rights group and an irritated mob of EDGE customers already barking up their proverbial tree, this is just one more bump in the road the iPhone must cope with and resolve.

The coming days may prove costly for Apple as they could see their college-age market shrink due to potential perceived complications with campus wireless networks. Regardless of whether the Duke case is an isolated incident, the negative press from its occurrence is sure to leave some college-aged purchasers with a bitter taste in their mouth.

1.One doorway pull up bar to install permanently (preferably screwed in)

2.One roll of galvanized hanger strap, sometimes called plumbers tape

3.Two, three foot sections of chain with one inch links

4.Two quick Links (Home Depots termsan oval shaped link with a screw based opening and closing connecting mechanism)

5.Two eye bolts

6.Two Spring Links (Home Depot termsa tear drop shaped, spring loaded connecting mechanism)

7.One pipe, one inch in diameter thats six inches wider than your doorway

8.Two rubber floor protectors. These are normally used on the bottoms of chairs to protect the floor, but in this case you place on each end of the pipe.

9.One wooden ruler, three feet long

10.One drill, one screwdriver, and one crescent wrench*

Sixteen Simple Steps

With these components in hand, follow 16 simple steps and youll have your very own, cost effective, home made, childhood obesity prevention machine (a.k.a. a height adjustable pull up bar) with which your kids can teach themselves how to do pull ups, and in the process they can immunize themselves against obesity for the rest of their lives as long as they maintain their ability to perform pull ups.

1.Permanently install the doorway pull up bar, preferably using screws

6.Close both Quick Links tightly

7.Drill a hole (two holes) about two inches from each end of the pipe

8.Insert the eye bolts into the holes and secure tightly with accompanying nut

9.Attach one teardrop shaped Spring Link into each eye bolt

10.With the Spring Links, attach your pull up bar horizontally to any pair of chain links and record the height by referring to the ruler mounted in the doorway

11.Now using your legs to jump and your arms to pull simultaneously do at least eight leg assisted pull ups.

12.If you cant do eight repetitions, lower the bar until you can do eight reps

13.Your next workout youll do nine, then ten, then eleven, then twelve reps

14.When you can do twelve repetitions, raise the bar one inch and begin the entire eight to twelve rep scenario all over again

15.As you make regular progress workout after workout, week after week, the bar will get so high that youll eventually run out of legs and be real doing pull ups.

16.Maintain that ability for the rest of your life and youll always be relatively strong and relatively trimand NEVER OBESE.

The Recipe for Success

Now that you have access to the equipment, the recipe for success includes

1.Regular workouts, twice a week, on non-consecutive days

2.Eat a well balanced diet including plenty of fruits and veggies

3.Get sufficient rest at night

4.Avoid tobacco, it makes you weak

6.Avoid drugs, they make you weak

7.And get stronger almost every time you work out

Developing A Good Fade Golf Shot

A good golf swing, for most people is developed through hours of golf instruction and practice. Many people never really do develop what they would describe as a good golf swing. The most common problem for the average golfer is overcoming their slice. For many beginning golfers it is a cause of great frustration and may cause them to quit the game of golf altogether. A golf ball slices when one of several golf swing problems cause excessive side spin on the ball causing the ball to curve to the right.

If you have a good golf swing that is consistent and repetitive then you might even want the develop the effects of a slice. A controlled slice is called a fade. The major difference between a slice and a fade is the amount of control. Why would you want to slice the ball? All golf courses have obstacles and dogleg fairways that have to be overcome by the golfer. Many golfers will play short or lay up to get around these course obstacles however many good golfers will choose to hit a fade or draw golf shot. A good fade shot is a good way to get around a right dogleg or an tree located in the right side of the fairway. Again a fade is a controlled right hand curving golf shot.

So how do you make a good fade shot? You begin by getting into your normal address position. Swing your club up to waist high follow through position so that your left arm is fully extended so that the club and your arm forms an L shape. That means the tip or toe of the club must point back to right. When you look down the club shaft you should note that your point of aim is 10 to 15 feet to the left of your target.

Now bring your swing all the way to the back swing position. Repeat this move several times to ingrain the feel of this swing. You will notice that the position of your follow through position will cause your to take a wide outside upswing plane. As you make your down swing your club face will remain open as your swing moves outside during your release. This will cause strong left to right spin and thus a fade shot. You will have to spend a good deal of time at the range to get a comfortable and confident with your fade shot. Remember to warm up your practice session using the fundamentals of a good golf swing. Plan your practices sessions with distinct objectives. Keep a diary of each practice session to assure you develop a repeatable golf shot.

On the course you can use the mental check list of steps provided above to make sure that your swing plane is correct for the fade shot. Some golfers will also increase the amount of fade by further opening the club face. One additional tip is to make sure you maintain strong left hand grip to delay the release of your hands which will also open the club face at the point of impact. As you develop your skill and confidence at making a consistent fade shot your enjoyment of the game of golf will increase and your partners will marvel at your skill. Imagine the look on their faces as your ball fades around a center fairway tree to lie in the middle of the fairway on the other side. A good golf swing is a beautiful thing.
